Kentucky Basketball

With John Walls drama being settled we can get down to what really matters.... basketball! My friend asked a great question tonight on Facebook, who starts for the Campbellsville game? Now honestly it probably doesn't matter who starts due to the abundance of talent that Coach Cal has gathered over the last 6 months. Most likely it will be Patterson, Cousins, Miller, Bledsoe and Orton or Dodson, but how cool would it be for Calipari to start the bottom of the bench just so they could say they started a game with the UK jersey on! OK I know that it is not practical but I think it is a cool idea.

Will Brooks stay?

OK, I know he he ahas just started winning here at Kentucky, but if he gets offered the AD job at Oregon can he turn it down? He still owns a farm out there, has family there and the stadium does bare his name. Kentucky needs to make a stand now and give him a raise. I'm not saying to pay him Spurrier money or even whatever Bama gives their new coach but he needs to be payed above the SEC average. He turned a very young team with little depth into a bowl team and he deserves to reap the rewards of his accomplishments not to mention dealing with all the "Fire Mitch and Rich" signs, media and just our fickle fan base in general that still hasn't accepted the fact that he is a good coach. So I want UK to make sure Rich stays at least two more years until Joker is ready to take over the helm.
So please every UK fan that can afford it this holiday season follow the Cats to whatever bowl they go to and cheer on the team and make sure Brooks knows how much we appreciate the job that he has done.
